| Pilsen theatre company, which has considered itself a vehicle for "positive individual and social transformation," with productions combining myth, ritual, music, and autobiographical storytelling, will close its doors in Spring '99, as co-founder Tim Fiori moves to Los Angeles with his fiancee to pursue a career as a screenwriter and actor. Past productions have included After Mountains, More Mountains... The Haiti Stories, Frida: The Last Portrait, and The Uncensored Stories. Founded in 1984 by Tim Fiori, Mitch Covic, and Donna Blue Lachman, Blue Rider has been one of Chicago's most socially comitted theaters, producing many of Lachman's plays, and trying to develop Pilsen into an artistic community.
