| Northwestern Alumnus (School of Speech, 1986) has been in a number of admitedly not very critically or commercially successful feature films including a lead role in 1998's Sour Grapes (which also stars another NU grad Robyn Peterman), and 13th Floor, 'Til There Was You (1997), Johns (1996), and the villain role in The Long Kiss Goodnight (1996). He was nominated for the "Best Actor in a Musical" Tony Award for his starring role as "Professor" Harold Hill in the Broadway revival of the classic "Music Man." Bierko was a fixture in NU's improv Meow Show from '84-'86 before graduating. In addition to these films, he has also appeared on several TV movies and sitcoms, perhaps most notably as "the guy with the annoying laugh" on Ally McBeal.
