| Northwestern University associate professor -- founder of NU's Music Theatre Program -- deserves no small part of the credit for NU's recent success on Broadway. While its theatre and music schools have long been noted, this Music Theatre program has helped better prepare its students -- about 15 each year -- for this sort of career path. There are now nearly 20 NU alums on Broadway, as well as many others in national touring companies of Showboat, Les Miz, etc.
