| Born on November 13, 1947 in Chicago, IL this graduate of DePaul U's famed Theatre Department and an amateur playwright most notably appeared as Billy Crystal's best friend in Forget Paris. Mantegna is a Hollywood character actor with few big splashes that would help you put a face to this name. Best buds with fellow Chicago celebrity, Denis Frantz, Mantegna can also be seen in Tom and Jerry, showcased at the 1997 Sundance Film Festival (which Joe also served as executive producer). Mantegna also just finished a three month shoot in NYC w/ Woody Allen as well as Ray Bradbury's The Wonderful Ice Cream Suit made by Disney and starring Edward Olmos. He got his first break at Chicago's Candlelight Dinner Theatre.
