Kevin Anderson

So this DePaul U. Theatre Alum is best know as the liberal, sympathetic priest of ABC's prime-time TV drama Nothing Sacred (which I believe has since been canceled). But guess what his big screen film debut was? Anderson played opposite Tom Cruise as one of his buddies in Risky Business (1983). Next, Anderson teamed up with fellow Goodman Theatre acting comrade, Helen Hunt, (while they were both still nobodies) to star in Gary Sinise's directorial debut Miles From Home (1988). More recently, Anderson has appeared in random, but notable roles. He co-starred alongside Julie Roberts in Sleeping With the Enemy (1991) in which he played the small town drama teacher who saves Roberts from her abusive psychotic husband. Furthermore, Anderson can be seen in the flop Hollywood incest tale A Thousand Acres (1997) with Jessica Lange and Michelle Pfeiffer.
