| This Northwestern alumnus started her career in Chicago theater. She has appeared in 'A Streetcar Named Desire,' David Mamet's 'Edmund,' 'Two Shakespearean Actors,' 'Our Town' and 'Three Sisters.'
Her TV credits include ER (1995-) and My So-Called Life (1994). More recently, she has directed episodes of ER and The West Wing. She has received four nominations for Best Supporting Actress from Viewers for Quality Television. She also starred in Deep Impact.
