| Lila M. Stromer has directed or dramaturged all over Chicago. She has worked with Steppenwolf, Victory Gardens, Apple Tree Theatre, Noble Fool Theatre, American Theater Company, Chicago Dramatists, Collaboraction, greasy joan, among many others. Regionally she has worked in New York, Boston, Georgia, and Virginia. Her production of William Inge’s The Boy in the Basement was selected for remounting at the Annual William Inge Festival in Kansas. She is an alumnus of the Lincoln Center Directors’ Lab in New York, is a member of the Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas (LMDA), and is a member of the Relative company at ATC. Lila has written reviews for Centerstage, has taught in Chicago and Nebraska, and founded the Director/Playwright Alliance of Chicago – an organization for Chicago-based directors and playwrights. She is a script reader for Victory Gardens, and is a former script reader for Steppenwolf and Alliance Theater (Georgia).
