| The city's (perhaps the country's) only African-American sketch comedy improv troupe is now performing in Los Angeles. Cast members include Shaun Landry, Cordell Pace, Ronald Ray, Jared Robinson, Hans Summers, and Nicole Tinnin. Of their sketch All Coons Look Alike To Me at Live Bait Theatre, the Chicago Reader says, "Impressively, Oui Be Negroes manage to walk a fine line between edification and entertainment. The tremendously physical performances and acute comic timing make even the most profoundly unsettling sketches -a plantation stand-up routine, a foul-mouthed ventriloquist's dummy menaces passersby-relatively easy to digest." In their their review of One Drop is All It Takes, the Chicago Reader says, "Second City's recent, much ballyhooed Soulfront purported to break with the urban-- white--liberal bias endemic in improv comedy, but Landry and Summers have been doing precisely that for nearly a decade."
