| Goodman Theatre Artistic Associate, is best known for her role as Lilly Harper on the television series "I'll Fly Away," for which she has won an NAACP Image Award, was Emmy-nominated, and received a Golden Globe Award for Best Leading Dramatic Actress. She has also appeared on "Law & Order," "Crisis at Central High," The Howard Beeach Story, Children of the Dust, and in the CBS series "FEDS," playing U.S. attorney Sandy Broome. At Goodman, she curated Transformations, directing Dr. Kheal, and wrote and performed her one-woman show Escape from Paradise at the Goodman Studio. Her one-act plays Watermelon Rinds and Inside the Belly of the Beast appeared at the Goodman Studio in Spring 1994 under the title The Ties That Bind.. The remainder of her many acting and writing credits are mostly in New York. On Broadway, she was Juliet in Romeo & Juliet, Cecelia in As You Like It, and Witch #1 in Macbeth.
