Rick Cleveland

Born in Parma, OH, this 32-year-old former Chicago (though he's currently based in L.A.) actor/author's independent film about a couple of family-style hitmen, Jerry and Tom (which features a fantastic cast including Joe Mantegna, Sam Rockwell, William H. Macy, Charles During and Ted Danson), will be released in March '98 by Mirimax. Chicago Magazine says "The dialogue is genuinely fresh, the characters are likable and real, and the film has a dark, sardonic humor without being unfeeling."

The show premiered in 1994 at the American Theatre Company (in which Cleveland remains an ensemble member) as a 3-actor play, the two namesake hitmen and one actor playing everyone that they tried to kill... Though it was an interesting effect in the theatre, the film's cast is much larger.

His Danny Bouncing (The Chicago Reader called it a "diverting comedy") opened recently at Victory Gardens Theatre. His wife, Mary, is a Disney development executive.
