| Born Virginia Komiss (July 4, 1912-December 22, 1998) in Chicago, IL, this Northwestern University alumnus (MS, Journalism) was best-known as the hostess of nationally syndicated TV talk shows "The Virginia Graham Show" (1970-1972), "Girl Talk" (1963-1969), and "Food for Thought," which are considered by many the forerunners of today's day-time television. After beginning her career in radio during the 1930s, as the host of "Weekday," She starred in a number of TV shows, including "The City", "Texas" and "Where Was I?" Her filmography includes The Perils of P.K. (1986) and Slapstick (Of Another Kind) (1983). Ms. Graham was one of the co-founders of the Cerebral Palsy Foundation.
