Driving is easy; just get on Lake Shore Drive and follow the signs to Navy Pier. Taking public transportation is a bit trickier; if you prefer not to take buses you're in for a very long walk from the Grand Red Line stop. Once you get off the Red Line there's a host of different bus lines (and a free trolley) that travels to the Pier, but if you're not in the mood for that or the buses are few and far between the best thing to do is to bring a friend and split a cab.
