Dennis Foley, a life-long Chicagoan, is the author of "The Streets and San Man's Guide to Chicago Eats," a humorous guidebook to Chicago's off-the-beaten-track eateries.
Dennis wrote this guidebook during his six-year tenure as an electrician in the City of Chicago's Department of Streets and Sanitation. He received his MFA in Creative Writing from Columbia College—Chicago, and his work has appeared in a number of publications including Poetry Motel, Hair Trigger 23 and 24, Block's Magazine, The Use of Personal Narratives in the Helping Profession, Gravity and Bluelit.com. Now working primarily as a freelance writer, Dennis is happily married to Susan, and they have three boys, Matt (15), Pat (13) and Mike (5).
