Who's Who Chicago: Centerstage People
Kate Puhala
Kate's current top priority is listening to any and every recorded utterance of Jarvis Cocker's gruff whisper. While flipping Side A to Side B, Kate is finishing her undergraduate degree as a Northwestern University journalism and history student. Upon graduation, she hopes to reclaim that role in a London-based Radio Masters program, though she says this has nothing to do with Jarvis Cocker. In Kate's defense, she has been working at Northwestern's student-run radio station, WNUR 89.3 FM, for four years and co-hosts the Invisible Submarine rock-music show Monday nights. Kate has written for Newcity and Los Angeles and participates in the debauchery of recording and editing podcasts for the Neo-Futurists. She wishes to one day live in a Brit-pop crazed world where men wear skinny ties and even skinnier jeans.
